Massage near Aix-en-Provence: 3 wellness places to discover

As you may know, I have been a French teacher for about ten years now. It is a profession I deeply love, for its human richness, the creativity it requires, and the connections it allows us to build.
Over the years, however, I also felt the need to explore other dimensions of care and human connection.
About seven years ago, I began training in somatic therapy. It was a long, intense, and fascinating journey. During this training, I learned to listen in a different way, to feel more deeply, to support others… and to touch with care and sensitivity.
In 2025, I obtained my diploma as a somatic therapist. Since then, I have integrated massage into my practice, as another way of supporting people — this time through the body.
Today, I would like to share three places that I particularly enjoy for receiving a massage near Aix-en-Provence and experiencing a true moment of well-being. Two of these places are located in Aix-en-Provence itself, while the third is just a few minutes away, in a more natural setting.
If you are looking for a massage in Aix-en-Provence or nearby, here are three places that I sincerely recommend.
My massage space near Aix-en-Provence, facing the pool

I will start with my own massage space, located just a few minutes from Aix-en-Provence, in a quieter and more natural environment.
I am not in the city center, but just outside Aix-en-Provence, in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature. It is a conscious choice: here, you hear birds rather than traffic.
During my somatic therapy training, we learned how to adapt each massage to the specific needs of the person. Every massage session I offer near Aix-en-Provence is unique.
Today I give massages in a dedicated room overlooking our swimming pool, in a space we created in January 2025. It is a bright, simple, and calming place.
You can come for a massage during a French immersion stay in Provence, or simply if you are visiting the Aix-en-Provence area and would like a personalized wellness break.
My intention remains the same: to help you release tension, reconnect with yourself, and bring more lightness to both body and mind.
The spa at Hotel Negrecoste in Aix-en-Provence

The second place I recommend for a massage in Aix-en-Provence is the spa at Hotel Negrecoste, located right in the city center on the famous Cours Mirabeau.
It is a refined and peaceful place, where the experience begins as soon as you walk through the door.
You will find:
a jacuzzi
a sauna
a hammam
a relaxation area
I went there for a massage some time ago. Even though I no longer remember the exact techniques used, I clearly remember the deep sense of relaxation, carried by the atmosphere of the place.
It is a wonderful option if you would like to combine spa and massage in Aix-en-Provence, right in the heart of the city.
The spa at Hotel Aquabella in Aix-en-Provence

Finally, I have very fond memories of the spa at Hotel Aquabella, where I received a Moroccan massage offered by my best friend.
What I particularly appreciated was the practitioner’s touch, both gentle and deep. Soft, enveloping movements that felt grounded yet sensitive.
The spa includes:
an outdoor pool
an indoor pool
bright relaxation spaces
Ideally located just a short walk from the Forum des Cardeurs, it is an excellent place to extend a wellness stay in Aix-en-Provence.
Receiving a massage in Aix-en-Provence: a necessary pause

These three places share something in common: you leave with a relaxed body, a lighter heart, and the feeling that something positive continues to flow within you.
Whether you live in Aix, are visiting on holiday, or are staying with me for a French immersion program, receiving a massage in Aix-en-Provence can truly transform your stay.
Taking care of the body also allows the mind to settle.
And if you also have favorite places to receive a massage in Aix-en-Provence or elsewhere, feel free to share them with me. I always love discovering new spaces dedicated to care and well-being.
See you soon,
Virginie In Provence
