Feeling Young at 70
Today is a big day for me – I’m 70! My god, how time flies. But you know, I feel more alive than ever. It is a pride for me to have dared this adventure in Provence.
Who would have thought, Marsha, at this age, exploring France, learning French, living such a magnificent adventure?
A Cinema Evening in Aix-en-Provence
Virginie took me to the cinema in Aix. It was a lovely little cinema, with an atmosphere so different from what I know. The film was in French, without subtitles.
Of course, I didn't understand much of the dialogue, but the images, the emotion in the voices, the body language... everything was so expressive.
After the film, Virginie and I chatted about how we felt, in French. It was so fun.
Memorable Dinner and Meet a Puppy
And then, dinner! We went to a charming little restaurant. And there, surprise! An adorable puppy was walking between the tables. I had never seen this before. A puppy in a restaurant!
We enjoyed champagne, seafood and snails. The puppy came to see us, adding a little more magic to our evening. We spoke French all evening, laughing about our adventures and exchanging stories.
Returning Home Singing
The return home was just as joyous. Virginie and I sang Bruno Mars songs in the car, at the top of our lungs. Bruno Mars, the first concert of my life. The song “Locked out of Heaven” stayed in my head all night.
When I got home, I had a last glass of wine. I brushed my teeth and went to bed with a smile on my face. What a wonderful way to end my birthday!
There you go, it was my birthday in Provence. A day full of laughter, discoveries and friendship. A memory I will never forget.
